A typical prefabricated sand trap is intended for the collection of (rain) surface waters from roads, and other urban surfaces and the settling of sand, carried by such waters. A concrete sand trap is assembled from prefabricated elements according to the demands of the project, with such elements used to achieve appropriate height. It includes a concrete base, concrete mounts, and a concrete cover of the sand trap, with a built in cast iron cover, adjusted to the required loads. All prefabricated elements of a concrete sand trap are produced in compliance with the SIST EN 1917 Standard.
Elements of the Typical Prefabricated Concrete Sand Trap:
- BP – sand trap base with a wall thickness of 190mm, diameter of 600mm and height of 330mm.
- NP – sand trap mount with a wall thickness of 190mm, diameter of 600mm and possible heights of: 180mm, 320mm, 420mm, and 550mm.
- PP – sand trap cover with a diameter of 600mm and height of 190mm, which can be equipped with any version of the cast iron cover, with various load tolerances.
