Concrete Shafts
A prefabricated concrete shaft is used for the construction of faecal and rainwater sewers, usually up to five metres high. All shafts are produced according to project plans. Shafts may be connected to pipelines of various materials: concrete pipes, plastic pipes, polyester pipes, polypropylene pipes, and others. Water-tightness is ensured by integrated connectors, adapted for the type of material of the connecting pipe, which connects to the concrete shaft.
The basic element of the prefabricated concrete shaft has a shaped bottom – concrete muffle, which is made according to the plans of each individual project and has suitably arranged inflows and outflows of the shaft. According to the requirements of the client, we also produce concrete shaft bases with built in plastic bottom – muffle. The concrete base of the shaft is always upgraded with other elements in assembly. Those can be a concrete mount, cone, or reinforced concrete cover mount with a built in cast iron cover. A rubber gasket is placed between concrete elements, ensuring water-tightness.
Types of concrete shaft base:
- BJ – base of shaft with wall thickness of 160mm, diameter of 1000mm, and height of 750mm.
It can be connected to pipes with a diameter of up to 400mm. - VBJ – large base of shaft with wall thickness of 230mm, diameter of 1000mm, and height of 1000mm.
It can be connected to pipes with a diameter of up to 600mm. - BJ – base of shaft with wall thickness of 150mm, diameter of 800mm, and height of 800mm.
It can be connected to pipes with a diameter of up to 400mm.
A concrete shaft mount is intended for the upgrade of the shaft in regards to the planned final height of the shaft.
Types of concrete shaft mount:
- NJ – shaft mount with a wall thickness of 120mm, diameter of 1000mm, available in three preset heights: 250mm, 500mm and 1000mm.
- NJ – shaft mount with a wall thickness of 120mm, diameter of 800mm, available in three preset heights: 250mm, 500mm and 1000mm.
A concrete shaft cone is intended for the final upgrade of the shaft, with which, along with height management, the diameter is managed as well, from a basic 1000mm or 800mm to 600mm, which ensures a smaller surface to be driven on and thus a higher load tolerance level.
Types of concrete shaft cone:
- KJ – shaft cone with a wall thickness of 120mm, diameter of 1000mm, available in two preset heights: 600mm in 850mm.
- KJ – shaft cone with a wall thickness of 120mm, diameter of 800mm, available in two preset heights: 600mm in 850mm.
The concrete shaft cover mount is intended for the upgrade of a concrete shaft with a cone.
Types of concrete shaft cover mount:
- NPJ – concrete shaft cover mount with a wall thickness of 120mm, diameter of 625mm, available in three preset heights: 100 mm, 150mm, and 200mm.
The wreath is used as a final cover of the shaft. All kinds of the cast iron cover can be built into the wreath, from those not meant to be driven over, to those, meant to be driven over, with various degrees of load tolerance.
Types of reinforced concrete shaft wreath:
- Possible diameters are 600mm, 800mm, 1000mm, and 1200mm. Thickness of all wreaths is 200mm or as ordered in regards to the project requirements.
The concrete cascade shaft is intended for hilly terrain or sudden drops on the route. The production of cascade shaft is possible on all pipe profiles and on the typical prefabricated concrete shaft. A particular specialty of the cascade shaft is that the inflow and the outflow are at different heights.
This type of shaft is made on the pipe and intended for larger flows on the pipe system. The production of a tangential shaft on the pipe is possible for pipes with diameters from 700mm to 1200mm. The height of the tangential shaft is regulated with shaft mounts, cone, shaft cover mount, and final reinforced concrete wreath with built in cast iron cover. Sealing is provided with a rubber gasket, ensuring 100% water-tightness.
